Vacation Workouts

 

When weather permits, (i.e. Temperatures above freezing) please run outside.  You will thank yourself later.  If you must run/exercise indoors due to weather, you will need to work 2x as hard as you do outside.  Nothing beats running outside.  These can be done at the track or at a field.  Remember: fast=approximately 80% of your speed, full=100% all out.

 

Conditioning

Warm-up with ½ mile (800m)

Stretch for 5 minutes

Run 100 meters

Backpedal 50 meters, jog 50 meters

Repeat 8 times

Rest two minutes

Sprint 25 meters

Rest 10 seconds

Repeat 6 times

Rest two minutes

Run two miles at a good pace

 

Basketball

Shoot a minimum of 300 shots a day.  Game shots from game spots including free throws.  Mentally review offenses, defenses, presses/press breaks and out-of-bounds plays.

 

Practice Schedule

The sophomore basketball team will resume practice on Saturday Dec. 28th at 8:00 to 10:00 am @ Grunwald.  We will then begin to practice with the varsity and junior varsity teams on the 30th and 31st.  Refer to the practice schedule provided by Coach Friedel.
